Our Student Ministry exists to SHARE Jesus with non-believing students, to CONNECT with them and each other, to GROW in our faith through study, to show LOVE to others through ministry, to HONOR God with our worship and life. Relationships are the avenue in which we build our ministry and develop disciples of Christ that leads to life change and growth. No matter if we are doing Bible Study, worshiping, playing games, or just hanging out, we seek to glorify God and make Him known to others in everything that we do to have an IMPACT in our church, community, and throughout the world.
Regular Events
impact
Impact is our Wednesday night service that is focused on fellowship and worship. It is a fun filled time for our students to connect with each other over food, games, and the Word. Students have the opportunity to invite their friends for this exciting, but also relaxed service to help share Jesus with them.
sunday nights
Sunday nights are a time where students can bond as a group through fellowship and service projects. These nights look different each week as some nights we will go off campus for a mission project or fellowship and other nights we will be at church for Bible Study or other various activities.
small groups (Winter)
Small Groups take place on Sunday nights in the winter. This is a time for our students to grow closer to God and each other in the comfort of someone’s home. Each group goes through a study specific to their age and needs. Our students love being together and growing closer to Jesus and each other.
summer camps & missions
Summer is a special time for our group to share Jesus with others, to grow together as a group, and to grow individually in our relationships with Jesus. Summer trips vary each year as to which camps and missions projects we choose. There is always an option for everyone!
middle mania
Moving up to Middle School youth group is and exciting time full of nerves and messy games. Middle Mania is a 3 day event just before school starts to welcome our new students into youth group. It is a time of food, fun, and fellowship with older students in the group to help our Middle School get excited about FIRST Students.
30 hour famine
What is so exciting about fasting for 30 hours and spending the night at church? Everything! Our students love the 30 Hour Famine because it is a time where they learn about and raise funds for World Hunger, are able to serve our community, and grow closer as a group. This event takes place in February each year.
Fall Retreat & Spring Retreat
Our Fall Retreat (Nov.) and Spring Retreat (March) are a wonderful time for our students to grow closer to the Lord, learn about Him from various speakers, and build community with each other. Students and leaders retreat to a cabin in Hopkinsville, KY to get away from daily distractions to focus on Jesus. Students learn what a true, authentic relationship with the Lord looks like and how they can develop that in their own lives.
Bible and a bow archery
Bible and a Bow is a wonderful program for students to learn archery skills while learning how to center their life towards Christ. "I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" -Phil. 3:14. The 8 week program is offered twice throughout the year. All equipment is provided for those taking the class. Be on the look out for upcoming Bible and A Bow dates!
